Why I'm building this.
I've spent twenty years building software, and the last several inside supply chain and the Shopify ecosystem. At Vorta we managed millions of SKUs across hundreds of customers — profitable, with zero spend on marketing. People came back because the product was good. (Vorta is now run by my former team in Sarajevo.)
What I learned: SMB operators don't need more dashboards, more reports, more “insights.” They need the work to stop.
A year ago you couldn't build software that talks to suppliers, handles exceptions, and only escalates what genuinely needs you. Today you can. WDL is what I'd build today, AI-first, with what I learned the first time, for the operators Vorta couldn't reach.
